King Printing Co., Inc. continues sustainability initiatives by receiving certifications from the world's leading forest management programs, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).
“As a complete Book Manufacturer, we felt compelled to receive chain-of-custody certification” says Adi Chinai Joint Managing Director of King Printing. The certification from the FSC complements a certification from the SFI which greatly increases King Printing’s ability to offer “greener” and more socially responsible products to it’s national and international client base.
“By receiving the FSC and SFI certifications, we are making clear our support of the environment not just locally but world over” said Adi Chinai Joint Managing Director of King Printing. Recognition of the FSI and SFI standards is an achievement that our customers can align with in order to better serve their clients and make clear their responsibility to the environment.
FSC and SFI are the world’s leading independent organizations focused on forest management. To gain forestry certification from these groups, companies must conform to rigorous third-party audits of their control systems.
Mr. Chinai feels that “That the demand for assurances that books and printed matter have been produced from responsibly managed forests is more than ever before, therefore having the ability to be apart of the Chain of Custody only helps to affirm our corporate social responsibility.”
By continuing strategic procurement across an controlled supply chain, King Printing Co., Inc. can meet both social and business goals for itself and it’s clients.
