A proof is a close approximation of how your book will look when printed.
While book printers take great care to ensure that the proof closely
matches the final product, they are generally run on desktop printers
and do sometimes print differently than commercial presses. If this
is a concern, Adibooks would be glad to show you examples of proofs
and their corresponding final product to get a feel for what you can
expect from a book printer like us.
