What is a proof, and why do I need it?
A proof is a close approximation of how your book will look when printed. While printers take great care to ensure that the proof closely matches the final product, they are generally run on Desktop printers and do sometimes print differently than Comercial presses. If this is a concern, ask your printer to show you examples of proofs and their corresponding final product to get a feel for what you can expect. |
