Pre-Press  Proof or Check Copy  Plate Making  Production  Final Steps  Book Printing/Binding A check copy of your book is then run on a digital press (at Adibooks, we use Xerox Docutechs). This copy is then trimmed to final size, and returned to you for review. This is where you make sure that what is printed matches your expectations. You then indicate any corrections, changes etc. that are to be made. In most cases, a "Laser Proof" of the corrected pages is then done, to verify that all corrections have been made. The same process happens with your cover, except that it is printed on a Color Proof printer. Again, you note any corrections to be made, so check your cover carefully. If there are changes, a "laser proof" of the corrections is made for your review.
